Rifts Canada Poster by tomthefanboy Rifts Canada Poster by tomthefanboy
The picture was found on this page,

If you don't have the book, the page listed shows a picture and gives the stats of the Legion SOL Mobile Weapons platform. It is basically a medium range missile with a saddle and a ton of smaller weapons.

This is how it starts.

LOL Reminds me of something that appeared in our RIFTS Siege on Tolkeen Campaign, "The Skies Over Tolkeen". Warlord Grola, the Gromek military commander that basically ran the Tolkeen Air Corps the way that Herman Goering ran the Luftwaffe, ordered a cheap, easy to produce, and simple to pilot Mach 3+ interceptor. The firm Glencost (A city in central Tolkeen that produced the majority of the TW and conventional Tech equipment in Tolkeen, I think the canon example was called something like Center Gear? Correct me if I'm wrong..) General Productions ... yes it's abbreviation was GGP, came up with the brain child concept of a semi-reusable point defense rocket fighter. Using basic throttle, hand and foot pedal controls from a prone position - a pilot would operate a Long Range Missile with a clear dome-like nose. It sustained maneuvers through the TW enhancement of winged flight and it was armed with a either a pair of TK Heavy Machine Guns or a pair of imported Wilk's 457s as well as two AP Mini-Missiles. I forget how long it could stay in the air with rocket power and when that elapsed, the pilot would trigger a spring loaded pair of wheels at the aft and a central skid under the belly and then glide in on the remaining Winged Flight charge. It had very little M.D.C., very little ammo, and the pilots only received a couple of weeks of simulated training before they would strap these middle schoolers and young high schoolers into these missiles to send them up to attack Rocket Cycles, Sky Cycles, SAMAS and Nightwings approaching their communities. They produced more than a thousand of them a month for about four months before Glencost fell. There were a few pilots that managed to get lucky and made ace - but sadly most of them only managed to become kamikaze pilots due to the overwhelming speed and short range of their weaponry. Our characters, traditional jet fighter squadron pilots, nicknamed the dang things flying coffins.

technically not missile shaped, but rather bomb shaped.

and i've looked up that vehicle before. it's a motorcycle made from the external fuel tank off a jet fighter.

How long do you think it will be before calls a SWAT team on this missile-shaped motorcycle?
